Dear alumni and friends,
We are pleased to announce that a NELA (National Engineering Laboratory For Audio Technology) delegation including the General Manager will be visiting the bay area. We would like to take this opportunity to
hold a seminar to promote NELA and seek cooperation opportunities with
any individuals or enterprises that are interested to bring their
advanced technologies to China (not limited to audio technology, we are
interested in a broad range technologies).
NELA is a newly established National Engineering Laboratory by a joint
effort of National Development and Reform Commission (国家发改委), Guandong
Provincial Government (广东省政府), Guandong Development and Reform
Commission (广东省发改委) and Shenzheng City (深圳市政府). The main initiative
of this establishment is to promote the transition from Made in China
to Created in China, a national strategy for securing the future of
China.
NELA's uniqueness are : (1) As the first National Engineering
Laboratory in Guandong Province, it has received a strong political and
financial support from Guandong provincial government, so there is
sufficient funding for good projects (2) Through the development and
national standardization (国家标准设定) of China digital audio technology
(DRA), NELA has a very rich and successful experience in incubating an
advanced core technology to its full maturity of becoming National
Standard (3) NELA has excellent relationship with important central
government ministries such as MII (Ministry of Industry Information,
工信部), SARFT (State of Administration of Radio, Film and TV, 广电部), and
Ministry of Technology (科技部) established through the process of DRA
standardization (标准化工作) and market application promotion (产业化应用工作),
thus it is a fully capable platform for advanced core technology
