PKUAANC Career Development Forum: 与百人会成员等探讨职业转型 - 12/4 Friday PKUAANC Career Development team proudly presents Career Development Forum Series #2 – Career Changes (Panel Discussion) The United States offers more opportunities for people in the work force to switch tracks than most other countries in the world. As immigrants and foreign students, we are used to making changes and leveraging choices, which are what brought us to this new land. Career changes can be natural, such as through job progression, or intentional, such as through additional professional schooling. In this informative panel, we have invited three excellent speakers with three unique sets of career experiences to share with the audience their "why," "what," and "how" in career changes. Come and share this interactive panel with us. Together we will explore how each of us should, or should not, make career changes. (www.fr.com) His practice emphasizes patent prosecution in U.S. and foreign jurisdictions, patent strategy, management of patent portfolios and patent due diligence investigations in patent disputes, corporate financing, mergers and acquisitions. Bing grew up in China and holds a B.S. in physics from Peking University, a Ph.D. in Physics from University of Southern California, and a J.D. from School of Law at the University of San Diego. Milton CHANG came from Hong Kong; he received his B.S. in EE with highest honors from the University of Illinois, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in EE from Caltech. He is a member of Committee of 100, a Trustee of Caltech, a member of the Board of Visitors of University of Illinois College of Engineering. Milton is passionate about entrepreneurship. He was president/CEO of Newport and New Focus; while taking both companies public he became engaged angel in CyberOptics (IPO), Euphonix (IPO), Gadzoox (IPO), Iridex (IPO), Laser Power Optics (IPO), Lightwave Electronics (Acquried), Questek (Acquired), Rochester Photonics (acquired), Uniphase (IPO, now JDSU). He is currently the managing director of Incubic Venture Fund, and continues to mentor entrepreneurs. Doreen Woo Ho was most recently President & CEO of United Commercial Bank; Committee 100 member, before that, she joined Wells Fargo & Company in 1998 and was a member of the Wells Fargo Management Committee. At the time of her retirement in January 2008, she oversaw Wells Fargo's Enterprise Marketing Group, that is responsible for global branding, advertising and marketing for Wells Fargo across the company, Education Financial Services and Corporate Trust Services. Doreen led the Consumer Credit Group to be one of the fastest growing asset groups at Wells Fargo from 1998-2007. The Consumer Credit Group consisted of a $106 billion portfolio of home equity, personal credit lines and loans, and student loans. She led Wells Fargo to become the number 1 home equity lender in 1998 and 5th largest student loan originator. Total portfolio serviced by Corporate Trust Services is $2.7 trillion.
