Call for Donations for Qinghai Earthquake Relief
2010-04-15
Dear Friends,
On April 14th, a 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit northwest China's Qinghai Province Yushu Prefecture. As of 9:00 A.M. April 15th Beijing time, according to local reports, 617 people have died, 313 disappeared, and 9,110 were injured, among which 970 were severely injured. More than 2300 people are being treated in the local medical centers. About 15,000 resident houses collapsed. More than 100,000 people need shelter or to be moved. The situation is extremely severe!
To help out people there in time, Chinese Mutual Aid International Network (CMAIN) and Silicon Valley Tsinghua Network (SVTN) are soliciting donations from general public. We promise we will:
1) Transfer 100% of the donation to China Red Cross and other Disaster Relief organizations;
2) Publish the resource and usage of all the donations we receive, while gurantee the donors' privacy;
3) Send a federal tax exempt receipt to every donor.
"When disaster struck, help came from all sides". Let our efforts and care bring hope to our people suffering the earthquake! Click here to Donate.
